North Canton Heritage Society is heavily volunteer run! Besides members of our amazing Board of Trustees, NCHS also has several team members that assist with the day-to-day activities for NCHS. From collection management, research, exhibit design, to assisting in various programs and events–our volunteers do it all!

Meet our Volunteers!
Barb is a life-long resident of North Canton and is a proud sixth generation descendant of on the community’s first settlers, Leonard Willaman, Jr. (1757-1843). She has been a volunteer at NCHS for 11 years! She is one of the collection management volunteers and handles the accessioning process of our donations.“I work with the accessions and catalog the items that are contributed to the museum. I love my job! North Canton is our city, our history!”
Terri has volunteered at NCHS for nine years! She catalogs all donations accessed by Barb Humbert into the NCHS database using the PastPerfect Software. Terri ensures that the NCHS collection is organized and accessible. She also assists with our temporary exhibits. While she graduated from Oakwood High School in Plain Township, she has lived in North Canton for 40 years.
Yvonne “Vonnie” Schworm
Vonnie is a 1952 graduate of NoCaHi. She grew up in North Canton and now lives in Jackson Township. She has been a weekly volunteer at NCHS for 18 years! She works in the collection’s storage area, ensuring all artifact’s description is organized and up to date.
