North Canton – The North Canton Heritage Society will hold a Garage Sale in the Portage Street School parking lot off Ream Ave. NW, across from the rear of the North Canton Library on Saturday, June 14 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The public can participate in two ways: either by dropping off donations of items for the Society to sell, or by setting up their own tables and selling their own items. On that day, food will be available for sale, the Society’s museum will be open and a raffle will be held.
The public may drop off their donated merchandise at the Society’s offices at 185 Ream Ave. NW during special hours on Saturday, June 7 from 9 a.m. until noon, or anytime the week of June 9 through 13, during the same morning hours. Donated items can include furniture, kitchenware, furniture, working electronics and decorative items. No books or clothing will be accepted. Any items left after the sale will be donated to the Canton ReStore. This is a great way to get rid of unwanted household materials without the muss or fuss of setting up one’s own sale. Society volunteers will price and display the donated items. Proceeds from the sale will fund Society educational programs.
If you would rather sell your own merchandise that day, you may rent a 12×12 foot space in the parking lot from the Society for just $10. Bring your own tables, or rent them from us for a nominal fee. Reservations for spaces must be made by Thursday, June 12.
June 14 is also the first day of the North Canton Farmers’ Market. In case of rain, the Garage Sale will be held the following Saturday, June 21.
For more information and to make table reservations, call the Society at 330-494-4791 (weekday mornings or leave a message) or by e-mail at email@example.com.
